| I was contacted from a guy from Clyde F.C. looking to track down a former player of ours, Joe Mcgoldrick. Apparently he played for us between 76-80. If anyone has any information on him could you pass it to me. Thanks. |

| Apparently he played for us?? He played central defence at a certain 1977 cup final at Hampden. I think he was a school teacher but I don't know what happened after he left Ladeside. |

The legendary Joe McGoldrick was a teacher at Johnstone High ( i believe )
I remember Joe scoring a hat trick of headers in a 3-3 draw at Largs in '79 -- not bad for a centre half
Gordon Ronney may have information to his whereabouts -- it was Gordon who contacted all the cup winning ( and losing ) players to attend the centenary dinner - though Joe never came. _________________ You'll Work harder with a gun in your back for a bowl of rice a day |
