SUNDAY 28TH FEB RANGERS V CELTIC
Predict the time of the first goal, £1 per shot in min and sec, nearest wins
the 100 prize, sheets contain 20 goes,30 folk sell a sheet each =£500 profit.
Token prize (bottle of spirts) for the person selling the most shots.
The 500 is a minimum, Im sure we can get more than 30 sellers.
Whats the thoughts on a repeat of last years ''Speakers Night'' this time oriental meals for everyone though.
What about this place at Toryglen, covered astro pitch, with seats for 700 spectators, friendly match against some attractive opposition, charge 3 or 4 quid to get in, give the team a game to keep fit and the boys a day out.

I think score predictor is an easy one to arrange. Take the sheets into work and you'll get 20 names no bother.
The speakers night at the boolers was a good laugh and well attended. _________________ The wee Vale will never fail, never fail |

If the speaker's dinner is March I think we should have a disco in February.
We're getting the hang of things, predictor, disco and dinnner are mainly targeting different pockets |

With the forecast to remain freezin for the next couple of weeks the income will be zero, some fundraiser in the first half of Feb would be a good idea.
We had the speakers night in Feb last year, can we assume that its not happening this year ? |

Is some of this fundraising not a bit a*s* over elbow ie. Burns supper in November then Speakers night in February. Surely it should have been done the other way round.
Also when are we changing THAT badge, getting some good shirts and selling them at start of season and Christmas. Money lost IMO.
Many people have expressed opinions on this but no co-ordination or voting system.
Perhaps the Schools should be tried again for another badge with prize of season ticket. Free tickets for a home game could be handed out to all other pupils at this time.
Time for the Kilbirnie revolution and before anyone starts I would be willing to help in some capacity (taking tickets to school, organizing and judging badge competition, voting for new strip). _________________ Monty, monty, monty......mon tae feck! |

We had a great debate on here at the start of the season re badges and new away strip, one was bought with the old badge so its a dead duck I'm afraid.
Re tops etc, its a real pain getting orders of 1 or 2 at a time, I tried a dealine for orders in Sept but it failed miserably, perhaps the SC could front up the cash for 15 to 20 tops initially?
The speakers night for Feb is looking very unlikely due to
A - not many replies or folks showing interest
B- might already be too late in the day to arrange speakers
Sorry about being as negative |

How can it be too late for next years tops?-preparations should be made now so that the correct stips with badges get ordered. Agree that budding artists should be left alone and that some collateral is needed up front to order a decent amount of tops- get a sample picture, collect orders on bus, at game, in Ramjams with full payment then order - it's not rocket science.
Proposal-put up the sample badges on here. Get a poll together, involve the comittee and players in the vote and make a choice. The last time we saw such an unwillingness to make decisions saw us drop 2 divisions in 2 years. It needs to be done and the merchandising aspect will pick up for certain. If you have a good sylish kit people will want them. Current strip is OK but for me the badge kills it. I was drawing things like that on fag packets in my younger days, even if the KLFC letters were superimposed like RFC or Yves Saint Laurent it would be a marked improvement.
Some may disagree but you need a bit more foresight than just agreeing with the way things currently stand-the away strip thing was typical (people getting exited about something new then same old, same old.) _________________ Monty, monty, monty......mon tae feck! |

nope wasn't me KTS - I don't have the creativity, imagination or software package to come up with those designs. _________________ The wee Vale will never fail, never fail |
